ASCA is the Foundation for the recognition of complementary therapies in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, which verifies professional standards and enables reimbursement for treatments. If you have complementary health cover and your health practitioner is a member or "agréé" by ASCA, you
may be eligible for partial if not full reimbursement for your treatment. Check the list of insurers associated with ASCA here.

The
British Association for Nutritional Therapy (BANT), a non-profit organisation, is a professional body for nutritional therapists. It
promotes high standards of education in Nutritional Therapy and high standards of practice and ethics within the profession.

Dhanyaa - The Indian vegetarian/vegan take-away of Lausanne is run by
Azeem Amarshi, the friendly and knowledgeable owner. Several tasty (I speak from personal experience!) vegetarian and vegan dishes are offered daily.

ESCA is the English-Speaking Cancer support association based in Geneva, which offers support especially to English-speaking cancer clients living in the canton of Geneva or Vaud. A charity run principally by volunteers, they offer a regular monthly information/get-together meeting and organise other fundraising activities throughout the year.

The International Society of Kamlesh Ayurveda is the body run by my first teacher and mentor in Ayurveda, the Ayurvedic doctor, Dr Shanti Kamlesh. He offers Ayurvedic cooking classes and Ayurvedic nutrition programmes throughout the year all over the world.

Keola is a School for Reiki and Aura Soma training, based in Grandvaux and run by Chinta Barbara Strübin (my Reiki teacher and author) and her husband
Visarjana Rolf Gaensslen (also a Reiki master).

Pole Sud is a centre for social and cultural activities (a really wide range!) and the first place in Lausanne where I gave an Ayurvedic cooking course.

The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre - Geneva is part of the International yoga school founded by Swami Vishnu devananda. It's the place where I discovered yoga in January 2001 and one place where I have passed on my knowledge of yoga and nutrition to others.

The UK School of Naturopathic Nutrition, run by Fiona Gibson, is where I started my first formal studies in holistic nutrition and from which I graduated as a nutritional therapist.
