Frequently Asked Questions about Neti
What is neti and what is a neti pot/lota ?
The Sanskrit word « neti » means « to guide » and in this case refers to a technique where a warm salt water solution is used to cleanse the nasal passages.
The neti pot (lotas) is a tool specially designed for cleansing these passages and offers you a gentle way to irrigate your nose with a salt water solution.
How long will they last for?
Your lota can last for years if you look after it. I've been using my current one for over two years practically every morning.
What is in a kit?
A neti kit includes
- a neti pot
- an information sheet on how to use the neti pot
- a small packet of fine sea salt.
How many kits may I buy?
For the offer the number is limited to 2 per Nutri-Jyoti News subscriber (1 kit for non Nutri-Jyoti News subscribers).
How can I avoid the costs for postage and packaging?
At the moment neti kits are only available by post. This situation may change so check this page again for up-to-date information.
Why don't you send the neti kits out with a payment slip before payment is made?
All online (and offline) stores require payment for goods before they are received. Moreover, it increases admin work substantially if I send people a payment slip and have to check afterwards if they have paid (and sometimes remind them if they've forgotten).
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, there is now the option to pay via Paypal or as well as at the Post Office.
