I was eagerly waiting for Janet's book--in fact, even before I heard she was writing it, I'd been waiting for something just like it. A book full of quick, easy, *healthy* meals that wouldn't need to be scaled down from gigantic portions--sounds yummy!

What I found was all that and so much more--Janet's done a thorough job explaining different grains and I loved the section on gluten-free grains. She gives you a grounded education in a way that's relatable and oh so delicious. What's especially great about the information she shares is how personal she makes it. This isn't yet another dry, above-it-all diet book. Rather this book is genuinely (and warmly) aimed at busy professionals who know they should eat better, and want to eat better, but just aren't sure where to begin in a way that's time-effective.

My one concern before reading the  book was that it might not be wholly applicable to me since I live in a small town in the US and Janet's half a world away. I needn't have worried--Janet has me covered, both in terms of the easy-to-find ingredients she uses, and in terms of the accessible language she uses.

Right away, I wanted to put the recipes to use and I found something I could actually make on the spot with the ingredients I already had in my pantry--that's right, not only is Janet genuine and down-to-earth, but the recipes she includes don't require space-age equipment, fancy ingredients, or an abundance of skill to get them right. Precisely within the promised 15 minutes, I was ready to feast on fresh, whole-grain pasta (you've got to try this recipe--it's on page 35).

Even better than the recipes are the weekly shopping lists (something I've been looking for for ages), and the way she makes it all straightforward and simple. Janet has officially taken away every last excuse you might have had about eating healthy.

This is one thorough, well-organized, beautiful book! It's really easy to navigate, too, with hyperlinks throughout to get you to the precise spot you want to be in. Well worth the money, but, more importantly, it's well worth the time! If you want to eat healthier without having to spend your life in the kitchen cooking up way too much food for one (or two), this is absolutely the best book I've seen on the topic.
